Matthew McConaughey Shaved His Head!

Matthew McConaughey stepped out in Beverly Hills on Tuesday sporting a T-shirt, baseball cap — and totally bald head! Though he concealed his shiny scalp underneath his j.k. livin hat, it was quite obvious the star had shaved off all of his golden curls — but the smile on his face said he didn’t seem to care.

On Saturday, McConaughey was spotted on the Los Angeles set of his latest film, Thunder Run, with a full head of hair — so why the change? It’s the first time he’s made a major modification to his luscious locks since 2008, when he debuted a super-short buzz cut.

Obviously McConaughey, one of PEOPLE’s former Sexiest Men Alive, can do no wrong, but personally, we’re going to miss those cute curls.
